Visitor Story: Fasting to Cure Stage 4 Prostate Cancer - Cancer Treatments - From Research to Application (2023)

Dear Friend,

Today I am pleased to share with you a very positive story of Don, a friend from the US who is successfully fighting stage IV prostate cancer with great determination and perseverance.

Don continued to share his results with me after trying different types of treatments. I was always positively impressed by the well-structured updates you sent me detailing the actions you were taking and the results you were seeing. While battling an early form of stage 4 prostate cancer, Don has tried several treatments, the most recent of which has shown great success, reflected in a rapid decline in the prostate cancer marker PSA (see table below).

I asked Don if I could write his story down so I could share it with all of you. He kindly agreed and took his precious time to write the following story. Thanks Don!

While the latest and most effective approach he is using to cure cancer is juice fasting, it is interesting to note that he tried it too.3BPand it also showed some clear PSA lowering effects. As far as I know, before achieving his best results, Don also turned off the ketogenic diet, which he believes should be avoided in "hormonal" cancers such as prostate cancer.

I hope you find this story inspiring! I find it inspiring because it shows that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to fighting cancer. There are many approaches that could potentially be effective, and I am pleased to have direct evidence that fasting is such a relevant method of fighting cancer. And I'm really happy that Don sees his accomplishments. Just take a look at the first chart below to see how it lowers your PSA.

Please note that the following post is in its original form - I have not edited the post as I want to fully reflect Don's point of view and approach. Therefore, this publication represents Don's experiences, discoveries and perspectives on his approach to cancer care.

Enjoy!

“How I was cured of stage 4 cancer,
o Don

My story:
In April 2016 my PSA was 18. My doctor referred me for a biopsy. The result was positive for cancer with a Gleason of 8, later my surgical pathology confirmed it was a Gleason of 7. I was recommended a radical prostatectomy in October 2016. By October my PSA would rise to 60 below the doubling rate of 100 days. I was told there is a 70% chance of long term remission if I have the surgery. They told me I would be incontinent for 3 months and lose my ability to have sex for 12 months and slowly return after that. None of that turned out to be the whole truth, I was worse off in every way despite having been in pretty good shape my whole life. I was also chemically changed due to the removal of the prostate due to a lack of testosterone in my system. I very much regret the OP's decision.

I was told that my surgery went well. After my surgery they told me to get a PSA test at 3 and 6 months and then call my oncologist again. If the cancer is successfully removed, my total PSA should remain stable below 0.4. My result was a fast growing cancer (doubling in 100 days). Even my 3 month result was 0.7, at that point I knew I was in trouble but I didn't know what that meant and I was still hopeful. When I called my surgeon after my 6 month PSA test, he informed me that I now have metastatic cancer and there is no cure. The next time I met with my GP, he shared with me the surgeon's report after the operation and found that the cancer affected two of my lymph nodes. Something the surgeon could never say. He found out the day he operated on me that my cancer had metastasized. My cancer came back and grew quickly. He told me to go to another oncologist who could do radiation or maybe sign me up for a hormone study to treat the cancer. Hormone therapy was a short-term life-extending therapy lasting 18-54 months, and since it's a trial, it sucks which arm you get. Median life expectancy without hormone therapy was 5 years from diagnosis. That was the day my life changed.

I decided to investigate prostate cancer. I trained as a quantitative economist, certified public accountant, and financial planner specializing in quantitative investing, and now own and manage a dinosaur museum. I trust science. I trusted the medical profession to look out for my best interests. I wanted to live at least 85 and given my overall health I thought it wouldn't be a big deal. I have been physically active most of my life, but over the last 10 years I have gained a few pounds and been less active. Over the past two years, my energy has gone down a lot. I attributed it to hitting the wall as I was pushing 65 and doing less. Instead, it was the cancer that imposed my energy. Now he was obsessed with finding a way to achieve a 20-year remission with as few side effects as possible. 7 days after my surgeon told me I had metastatic cancer, my wife informed me that we were getting a divorce. I learned from an oncology nurse that this is quite common in cancer. I still cannot understand this decision as it would gather my support and devotion to not tear them apart. Onwards and upwards, she doesn't protect me, I have to keep going.

Did you know that chemotherapy and radiation have not previously increased life expectancy and result in reduced quality of life and a significant reduction in your savings account. I saw all this happen with my first wife after we broke up. Under the advanced medical systems of the US and after using up much of his life savings, he died in less than 5 years. I learned that chemotherapy offers only a 3-5% chance of exceeding the 5-year life expectancy for metastatic prostate cancer. I learned that surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation cause hair loss, but the cancer often metastasizes and comes back aggressively. Even a biopsy can cause your cancer to metastasize. Prostate cancer is the fifth leading cause of cancer death in the United States. It is expected that 1 in 2 Americans alive today will develop cancer in their lifetime. Cardiovascular disease alone kills more people than cancer annually, and now they are about the same. Both became big business. As you will learn, both are treatable with holistic remedies that cost very little, but these treatments are held back to protect the food and pharmaceutical businesses. The public believes that prostate cancer is the good kind of cancer. Only for 70% of us and only if it doesn't metastasize and show up as another type of cancer or problem. A ridiculous amount of money has been spent on research into a cure for cancer. I learned about other methods to reduce the effects of chemotherapy, such as B. Water fasting. Before you give me a strong carcinogen, I need to know that the success rate is worth the risk. Right now, it's not even close and radiation is the only FDA and AMA approved option. Our political system has clearly been hijacked by big food and pharmaceutical companies to act as a protective arm of their companies at the expense of the general public. My faith in the western medical system was seriously shaken.

I found all the information about alternative treatments very confusing. Whenever I came across something that worked, I also found articles that belied that approach. I didn't know what to think. At first I was still looking for the silver bullet. I pinned my hopes on finding possible ongoing cures being offered outside the United States. In North America, the most promising trial for advanced prostate cancer is called the BETWEEN Trial and was recommended to me by my GP and my new oncologist. This is a three-arm double-blind study. The weaker option has an expected benefit of an additional 18 months of life; The strongest arm has an estimated half-life of 54 months. Side effects, of course, must be accepted. I wasn't impressed with that option, but what alternative did I have? This became my go-to if I didn't find a cure in time. I found a number of promising cancer-fighting drugs, GCMAF, 3-Bromopyruvate (3-BP), Salinomycin and Laetrile stood out. They offer a knockdown so your immune system should be able to stop the fight. Some of them have little effect on your good cells, others are toxins that affect your tumors more than the rest of your body. It works the same way if you are taking an antibiotic. It took us months to review them, even though we spent 4-8 hours a day researching them. I still spend several hours on it every day. I ruled out many alternatives based on scares I found on the internet. After a while I got more context and came back to it. The whole time I had this desperate need to keep my overall PSA levels low to give myself time to find a solution. I have found this site and several others very helpful in understanding cancer and how others have been cured.

First, I needed to understand how I got my cancer so I could choose the best path to remission or cure.you don't get it back. Medications treat the symptoms rather than the underlying cause. They come with side effects. This is acceptable, as drugs for degenerative diseases like type II diabetes, Alzheimer's and multiple sclerosis are not a cure, but a medical prison that you have to pay for every month. Degenerative diseases are diseases of nutrition and civilization. You need to change those two things in order for your body to complete the healing and prevent it from coming back. Drugs are just as useful for falls as antibiotics. Would you take antibiotics every day for the rest of your life? All it does is temporarily help the immune system win its war. You also need to keep your antibody arm in good working order so that it can do its job when antibiotics tip the balance on the battlefield. Silver bullets are like bombers arriving during a battle, knocking down the enemy but not annihilating him. Ground forces (your immune system) are the only way to achieve victory in war. If you leave a cell in your line of bombardment intact (shock and awe), the enemy will regroup and come back stronger.

Prostate cancer and many other types of cancer consist of solid tumors and cancerous stem cells. Cancer is the result of malfunctioning mitochondria (billions of energy-producing cells throughout the body). This is usually the result of chronic inflammation that leads to an unhealthy environment in which mitochondrial disease can occur. It took me some time to identify the probable cause of my cancer. Doctors specializing in determining the cause often blame meat and dairy consumption as the main causes of cancer. Toxins like cigarette smoke too. I have followed a diet rich in animal protein all my life. I grew up in Singapore where we didn't have milk, but when I moved back to the US at 18, I drank milk every day until about 5 years ago. Until recently, I regularly consumed small amounts of cheese products. I have had a lifelong nasal infection which I have attributed to a growth in my nasal passages. Doctors wanted to drill him. It miraculously disappeared after 40 years, when I stopped consuming all dairy products. It only took 2 weeks after stopping use for my 40 year old symptoms to go away. I was taking Tylenol twice a day for 18 years after an accident that broke my lower back. My research on toxins found that the number one side effect is damage to mitochondria. Other things that could have led to chronic inflammation were overly processed sugars, processed foods, and consuming bad oils. Anything that can cause chronic inflammation in the body can allow cancer to take root. My animal protein intake was the most likely candidate, as was my dairy intake, as I saw significant improvement by cutting out cheese and yogurt. I learned that we only have enough enzymes to process 220 calories a day (10% of our daily caloric intake) from animal protein; Otherwise, we store excess animal fats because we cannot process them. This leads to inflammation and toxin storage. Occasional violations of these limits are not a problem, chronic violations are. I was 500 pounds overweight (the heaviest I've ever weighed) and the extra fat I was carrying was an inflammatory burden on my system. My naturopath told me that our body mass index (BMI) is the single factor most strongly related to the health of our immune system. My immune system had lost the battle against cancer. Losing weight was job number one.

In May 2017 I decided to try the baking soda protocol. I found this out on an amateur YouTube video. It looked simple, cheap, short and promising. I ordered PH urine strips to monitor myself. I was surprised to learn that my urine pH was very acidic at 6.0. The normal was 7.35. My overall PSA at the time was just 1.3. I was able to raise my urine pH to 8.0 and keep it there for 3 days as needed. It was very difficult, but it resulted in the first drop in my PSA. This is shown in month 6.8 below. This was a 23% surcharge. He was afraid of online reports that he could permanently damage his kidneys with this protocol. I repeated it two weeks later, but more cautiously. My trial at 7.4 months showed no benefit, so I never went back to that procedure. I later found out that this was very dangerous and would not work without a healthy immune system. Some doctors offered it for a while, but now it's not adopted as a standard protocol in Germany, so I guess it falls into the "not a good idea" category.

One lesson I learned from changing my diet and doing things like the baking soda protocol was how to do something heavy. I said to myselfDo you want to do this and live?or do you want to die? I've asked myself that question many times over the past 8 months. It takes a lot of discipline to eat differently than others. Water fasting is a brutal mental process, especially the first 24 hours, it just gets a little better over the next 48 hours and then it gets a little easier as the brain fog lifts, but it's still a tough mental affair.

My new oncologist told me I could wait until my PSA got to 4.0 before going back and enrolling in the BETWEEN trial. This is a hormone treatment that gives you an additional 18 to 54 months of life with mild to moderate side effects. Of course, since this is a three-arm, double-blind study, you and your doctor won't know whether you'll get the 18-month, 36-month, or 54-month solution. Deep down, I accepted that this would give me more time to find a comprehensive long-term solution.

I kept finding promising information about long-term cancer remission due to dietary changes. There were also fewer refutations to this fact. Still, there hasn't been a strong common message that it works. I decided in May to find a doctor who could advise me on the best approach to take. I interviewed two naturopaths and chose the one that struck me as the most scientific. His program was strict, but he promised me that my diet would destroy my cancer. On June 1, 2017, I started your program. He informed me about a drug he is using with 100% success in curing cancer, 3-bromopyruvate. Two weeks later I went back for my first injection. I had a 15 minute date that normally lasted 10 minutes. It took me 8 hours to drive to my appointment and I had to stay overnight and cross an international border every time. The drug costs less than a dollar, disposables cost another dollar. I paid $150 per shot. Still, it was a bargain, as many other clinics charge $300 to $500 for an IV. As promised, he beat my cancer. At that point, after getting my PSA results a week later, I felt like I would be cured. When I saw him again two weeks later, he said my diet should take over now, so he refused to give me any more shots. Unfortunately, this was not the case.

The diet he recommended was a highly restricted ketogenic diet. No animal protein, no dairy, no alcohol, and a strict plant list along with a recommended supplement plan. I followed this for exactly 5.5 months until Nov 12, 2017. This program was not easy to follow. My doctor promised me results in 2-3 months. When that didn't happen, I continued, but started researching other diet plans. I lost 60 pounds in 5.5 months and was down to 160 pounds, a weight I haven't been since college. Other cancer groups like The Truth About Cancer are promoting the ketogenic diet, so I was reluctant to give it up. I also exercised 3 days a week for 40 minutes at a time. I started to feel better and more energetic. I felt confident that my immune system was in better shape. What I know now is that my immune system was better, but it wasn't up to the task of fighting the cancer. Now I know that unless you eliminate weak immune cells and replace them with new super healthy ones (depending on what you feed your body for fuel) an immune system will limp along with malfunctioning cells for decades. Fasting resets your immune system, initially through autophagy, which proceeds to build cells lacking new material and break down diseased cells. It also triggers a stem cell response that, when ingested, restores the immune system and other damaged cells that were shed to keep the body functioning during a period of nutritional deprivation, including brain cells and damaged areas of the body. It's a form of cellular spring cleaning and a rebuild of your immune system. It also helps reduce weight and inflammation. Animals use it when they are sick. The human being has developed with a natural rhythm of cell cleaning and renewal. Our modern lifestyle has eliminated this natural process necessary for optimal health.

My third drop (25%) was at month 8.8. This was likely the result of 3-bromopyruvate (3-BP) given as a bolus (buffered direct injection). A bolus injection (medication into a vein) is much easier and faster to administer, but it is not the usual protocol. Most clinics, 2 in the USA, 1 in Canada and many in Germany, offer unbuffered 3-BP intravenously. This process takes over 2 hours and my doctor was on the highly cost-effective 15 minutes per patient program. I saw my doctor regularly. He had trouble injecting me twice after my levels went back up. My big arms hid my veins, and he wasn't good at sticking a needle in a vein, or so he said. Now, with a fit body, this is no longer the case. He refused to do the 3-BP until I got a PICC line, which I agreed to in mid-September. My third drop (24%) at month 9.4 may have been from sound therapy and craniosacral therapy, which helped relieve stress and who knows, but it worked. This was before I received my second 3 BP injection.

My fourth dip came at month 11.7, in the middle of a series of 3 BP shots that so far have not worked. I was getting PSA tests every other week at the time. For some reason it worked. At that point I switched to weekly PSA testing the following month while in Thailand to try some alternative treatments. In Thailand, I had 3 daily PA injections with my PICC line, hoping to repeat the success of the week before my trip to Thailand. This never happened. During my first 2 weeks in Thailand, I only did 3 boluses of BP, then added IV ozone, IV vitamin C, and rectal ozone 3 times a week for 2 weeks in Thailand. The normal protocol is to take them for 5 weeks. Unfortunately, none of these treatments resulted in hair loss. My cancer developed at the rate of 100 days (standard cancer doubling rate) in those two weeks. There should have been a positive reaction within two weeks. I came to the conclusion after 5.5 months that my diet was not slowing down the progression of my prostate cancer. However, it did help me lose a lot of weight and I felt better overall.

My research showed that the Gerson Diet program had great results, although it was not legal in the US. I submitted my details to Clínica Gerson Tijuana for a customized solution in mid-September, just before my final accident left me hoping to have 3-BP again. I researched every recommendation they had for my "personalised treatment plan". They offered a $33,500 one-size-fits-all program. I found that 97% of their patients were advanced stage 4 patients who received chemotherapy and radiation and went there as a last resort. Still, they achieved significantly better results than chemotherapy and radiation. He still had early stage 4 prostate cancer with a PSA of 2.7. I decided that their food and juice plan was the most promising thing they had to offer and it should be enough for me. Max Gerson scientifically developed his protocol in the 1950's and it has worked for thousands of patients with cancer and other degenerative diseases. I was in early stage 4 so I thought it would work for me. Laetrile did not exist at that time. This was one of the most expensive parts of their program, but they didn't offer it to me as a lock and save option. Laetrile was also a cyanide poison that mostly got into tumors. It provided the accident, eating and juicing provided some ability for your immune system to improve. I found several areas where they had fog and mirrors on things and that worried me. If people smoke and this reflects my upbringing in the financial services industry, there is reason to investigate further. Where there is smoke, there is often fire. There are some who can do a program perfectly on their own and others who always need support. There are enough stores for those who need support. A simple example is the Norwalk juice machine, which they exclusively recommend and caution against using other machines. Because studies have been done to show that it's no different than alternatives that cost 1/4 the price. I understand that enzymes are critical and often difficult to separate from pulp. Advances in equipment have been made since the early 1960's when Max Gerson reached his completion. I went with the setup that was 1/4 the price. Now I've gone to a centrifuge which is faster and easier to use. I also use the Peoples Press, this combo gives just as good a result (and enzyme extraction) and is 1/5 the price, much faster to use and easier to clean. As they say, the best juicer is the one you use.

what is cancer
It's your body telling you that you're living in a way that's killing you. At the moment it's cancer, but it could be any other degenerative disease, they all work the same way. Healing one heals them all. Some are more resistant.

You have a choice!
If you don't want to die, you have to change your life. with a capital C
There are three aspects that can trigger and promote cancer.

1.Food– You don't need to change your diet to avoid triggering or promoting cancer. You need to provide your body with nutritious, high-density foods that contain the right balance of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes without adding more toxins.

2.To emphasize– You need to eliminate the things that stress you out. You need to adapt to a new way of life that does not lead to constant stress. You need to reform the way you respond to situations you cannot avoid in order to reduce stress.

3.toxins– You must eliminate the toxins that are affecting your health and stop eating or exposing yourself to them.

As cancer was a disease of the mitochondria, the juices were a great success. It offered the body a low energy approach to high quality vitamins, minerals and enzymes with very little energy expenditure on digestion. This gives the body more time to heal. Carrot, beet, apple, and celery juice was her go-to juice. It was slightly alkaline. Their green juice was also alkaline. Fruit juice not so much. Orange juice is acidic, but when processed by the body it has an alkaline effect, I loved citrus. The juice plan has been shown to cure cancer on its own in people with no dietary restrictions. You also need a strong immune system to attack tumors if you are stressing them out with an alkaline diet. I thought my weight loss caused it. I was wrong.

coffee enema
I started taking coffee enemas once a day when I started the Gerson meal plan in mid-November 2018. When I'm fasted, I do them twice a day. This is much more effective than other estimates of enemas, which are 5 times more effective. It was discovered during World War I to relieve pain when morphine ran out. I also use it for pain relief; it is mild in its pain relief. It's hard to do and hard to learn. After two months I feel better. I still don't feel like doing it, but I'm doing it. When you fast, your body wants to eliminate toxins as part of autophagy. I got breakouts both times I fasted. Much less the second time. It is important to take coffee enemas on an empty stomach. Max Gerson thinks it's important when your body is in the throes of cancer. I accept it

To emphasize
In mid-September I went to China and Thailand for 4 weeks. I knew that stress produces a hormone called cortisol, which damages the immune system, causes weight gain and many other illnesses. I have been working on reducing my stress levels. Part of that stress is worry about cancer. In early November, I decided to try the Gerson diet and get rid of cancer. I would take the next two months and focus on the Gerson approach and just test monthly. I also planned a trip to Hawaii and then a ski trip to Utah, where I devoted the entire day to my health. Fortunately, I have 5 months off a year, so this year I've taken my time to fully attack my healing. Since there was no easy and reliable program to follow, I spent a lot of time researching. I could have easily curated it at work now that I've put the basic program together. Stress is the wild card in this statement, especially if your job is a big stressor.

I started the Gerson eat and juice plan at 12.7 months. Researching Gerson and juicing, I came to the conclusion that juicing and fasting produced similar results, but fasting was able to clear and rebuild your immune system, and it worked faster. So on November 30th I did a 3 day water fast and then an 11 day juice fast. At 13.7 months my PSA test result was amazing, I beat my cancer by 40%! For the next two weeks, I simply followed Gerson's food and juice plan. Again, my result was a 38% drop in just 2 weeks. This confirmed that my 13.7 month result was not an accident. What he had to do was understand why! To do this, I looked at my data and did some more thinking. He had developed this combination of what he was learning. Later I found clinics in Germany that follow this protocol. I've found clinics across the US that do one or the other, but not both. dr. Longo of USC is about to change all that in America. His groundbreaking research has produced a superior new fasting plan, and he and his team have done extensive testing demonstrating the benefits of fasting for degenerative ideas, increasing the ultimate goal of life extension. Your scientific discoveries can lead to a Nobel Prize because this is very important work for humanity. So far he has been willing to serve the Masters, Humanity (through life extension research) and Bug Pharma by enhancing the effects of his drugs on a complex biological system (our body).

I had an accident 18 years ago that severely damaged my lower back. I had been taking Tylenol twice a day for 18 years. I learned that the biggest side effect of Tylenol is the disruption of mitochondria. I stopped taking Tylenol twice on this trip. I switched from Tylenol to aspirin from month 8.0 to month 11.1. I went back on Tylenol at this point as it was reported to help 3-BP. I stopped taking Tylenol at week 12.5 and have not replaced it with anything. It was hard not having a pill to ease the pain. To relieve my back pain, I went to a chiropractor who specializes in helping cancer patients. His examination of my condition led him to promise that he could relieve me of pain and greatly improve my spinal posture. Your program lasts 30 days with 3 adjustments 5 days a week. I found Dr. John Bergman watching his YouTube videos about cancer. Now that I'm going to live longer, I need to get rid of back pain.

My standard diet for many years was high in animal protein. This increases your levels of EFG-1, which promotes cancer. I had exceeded the daily limit of 10% animal protein by a significant factor for most of my adult life. It was also well above the 20% mark. I filled my body with what I thought was better fuel because I could afford those fuels. I had a dairy allergy and inflammation, which I didn't find out about until I started my doctor's strict ketogenic diet. I was clearly on a high-risk diet that created inflammation and an opportunity for the cancer to take root (elevated levels of EGF-1) and fueled its growth. Surprisingly, the strict ketogenic diet I followed for the first 5.5 months did not reduce the growth rate of my cancer. This result would be expected with a plant-based diet.

The Gerson Diet changed my urine pH from 6.0 to 6.2, bringing it up to 7.35 and occasionally higher. Fasting and my new diet raised my urine pH to 8.0 during my first dive and it has hovered around 7.35 to 7.5 ever since. It's not clear if the increase in my PH was the direct result of a change in diet or if it was the result of a change in my cancer production as it went down. I suspect the latter because cancer is a disease of the mitochondria, but I'm not sure. I also felt better and my energy now lasts all day again. It seems that the water fast, the juice fast, and the fasting-mimicking diet all reset my immune system to make it strong enough to attack cancer. With the cancer on the run, my energy is back. In my opinion, fasting was a trigger for rapid changes. Fasting protects your healthy cells while exposing your cancer cells. With a restarted immune system, he could do some serious cleaning of the tumor. Fasting also lowers IGF-1 levels, which slows down cancer.

Don PSA total

This is how my PSA chart compares to doing nothing to slow my cancer. As you can see, I would be on a hormone therapy program 10 to 11 months after surgery. My life span would average 6.5 to 9.5 years depending on which branch of study BETWEEN I entered. I would have become a cancer victim

How I was cured of my prostate cancer:
The Warburg Effect states that cancer cannot survive in an alkaline environment. My urine PH value is since August 6th. month from 6.0 to 6.2. That's when I started measuring. Despite eating a strict plant-based ketogenic diet at month 7.4 to month 12.7, my urine PH stayed around 6.0-6.2 most of the time. This was an indication that my cancer was on the way. My 11.7 week drop happened at a time when my urinary PH was 6.2, this supports my belief that urinary PH follows and does not lead to changes in cancer. From month 12.7 to 14.3 my diet was changed to Gerson juice and Gerson food. My urine PH rose to 7.35-8.0 in a short period of time. Fasting and juicing clearly caused my urine PH to become alkaline. I consider this very important. The Gerson Juice Diet has been very successful for me. I waited 5.5 months to make my move. I'm still wondering if Gerson's list of restricted foods is correct. My hunch is that your juicing program is the main driver of mitochondrial enhancement. Therefore, a healthy plant-based diet that is low in toxins and in the right overall balance with one solid meal a day is the right approach. In my heart, I see no reason to exclude avocados and the like. I can see myself avoiding foods that can be acidic in the body, but that's about it.

One of the main things that helped me beat my cancer was to start my diet change with a fast. I made this decision after listening to Don and Tyler Tolman on YouTube. Later, one of my sisters drew my attention to the Science of Fasting video. It can be found on Amazon Prime Videos and Zulu. The fast I did left the cancer cells vulnerable, reversing their protection (by weakening their protein coat). Second, it boosted my immune system. Third, it made my body more alkaline. All of these things are toxic to cancer cells. dr. Human tests by Longo (USC longevity expert) show that all three wear off quickly in just 48 hours in the water. I'm curious to see when that happens with your fasting-mimicking diet, which you'll learn about next. Fourth, it activates autophagy, a cell maintenance mechanism that hunts down damaged cells, including cancer cells, when the body might recognize them as weak.

My middle sister uses juice fasting for healing and as a weight loss cleanse. She has been doing this for 40 years. Like many others, he finds water fasting too strong.

A friend I met in San Francisco told me about his fasting program. He eats normal food for two days and water on an empty stomach for one day. He does this all year round. Dual purpose of it is to lose weight and keep your mind sharp. He seeks the benefits of fasting stem cells, harnessed first by the mind. That seems like a lot of pain for this result. Maybe it gets easier with time. I'm not ready to try this because I think there are better intermittent fasting plans out there.

Film: The Science of Fasting(56 minutes) explains why fasting works. Here's a summary of some of the highlights.

Juice fasting is a safe alternative to water fasting. Here is a research study found on PubMedhttps://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12624474which supports it, but works slower. Tyler Tolman claims that juice fasting is half as effective as water fasting. HeCurezone.orgThe Water Fast Blog claims that a juice fast lasts three times longer. A juice clinic in Portugal uses a 27-day juice fast to get full results. It depends on your needs which approach to use. My 3-day water fast and 11-day juice fast certainly kicked my cancer butt. That's the equivalent of a 20-day juice fast.

Is water fasting safe?
Generally yes, but only under medical supervision and approval. I only did this for 3 days as there is general agreement that if you are at home those 3 days and slowly get up from the break it is generally safe to do so at home during that time. The human body and all animal bodies are designed to first use glucose stored in the liver for energy and then use proteins and fats to make glucose. Our glucose stores in our liver are depleted within 24 hours of not eating. The second place where our body absorbs glucose is fat. A healthy person can fast from fat for 40 days until they reach 80% of their fat intake, prompting the body to use protein from muscle and bone to produce glucose. Animals like penguins can deplete their fat stores for 104 days until they reach 80% of their fat intake. They do not walk or exercise in this condition until it is time to go back to sea, and that is a long and arduous journey. This second phase is not a good phase and the body needs to find food quickly and then rebuild muscle. Penguins, for example, need to eat more in 30 days. They do this every year and live long and extraordinary lives. All animals on Earth are genetically programmed to eat this way, including humans. All our good non-mutant cells go into protection mode within 48 hours due to what is believed to be a genetically encoded response to food spoilage. We developed this trait in our past to survive. Just like in economics (my area) a recession is good for house cleaning, fasting is good for cellular cleansing, immune system cleansing and regeneration, generation of stem cells that repair and repair damaged areas of the body. Mutant cells in our body are clean as they don't go into protection mode and our body eliminates damaged cells including mutated cells like cancer cells under the right conditions. Systems require regular maintenance. Our current abundance of nutrients no longer provides for this periodic cellular adjustment. It is recommended to fast at least once a year. Intermittent fasting is found in many religions and is still practiced today. Muslims celebrate Ramadan; In August it is not allowed to eat during the day. This is essentially an 8-10 hour fast, with only water allowed during the day. About a billion Muslims fast every year without any problems. You can do this too. A water fast causes dizziness when you get up in the morning; you have to do it slowly. I learned the hard way and hit rock bottom. Water fasting also creates brain fog for the first 3 days. Driving is riskier for the first 3 days of a water fast.

The body's response to fasting and the benefits of fasting in general (Source: Dr. Longo):
1. Improve and rejuvenate your immune system.
2. Purification of pre-cancerous or cancerous cells
3. Activation of autophagy
4. Less fatty tissue thanks to ketosis
5. Reduction of C-reactive protein and decrease of oxidative stress
6. Increased gene expression to promote longevity
7. Increased brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), which supports the survival and growth of new brain neurons and improves mental health.
8. Improve fasting glucose, regenerative markers and healthy stem cell levels
Note: There are currently no medications that provide you with this type of benefit!

Movie: The Science of Fasting – Key Facts:

Fasting has been found to help with the following conditions:
Indications:
bronchial diseases
cardiovascular diseases
intestinal diseases
endocrine disorders
indigestion
Bone and joint disorders (including arthritis)

Contraindications:
Krebs
Tuberculosis
Diabetes
Hepatitis
Strombolis
Anorexia
short term memory

Our body has three sources to produce glucose. Our liver stores glucose for 24 hours. Our brain uses 40% of our glucose. After 24 hours, our body mainly uses fats (lipids) to produce glucose. In this state, we have a reduced need to eat. After 40 days, a healthy person begins to use muscle and bone mass for fuel. Healthy people can live on water for another 20 days. A penguin and a mouse can drink quickly for up to 134 days. A longevity researcher at USC (Dr. Valter Longo) knew about the longevity benefits of calorie restriction and decided to do an extreme version of the calorie restriction test.

The next step was to see if the same results would apply to humans. He did. For experimental purposes, rats received chemotherapy at a dose three times higher than that given to humans.

These are the side effects self-reported by water fasters and the control group in a study performed by the group in the previous post. The dark solid bar is the control group, who followed standard practice before prescribed chemotherapy with increased caloric intake. The open bar is the result of the group's fast. A lower bar is a better result. Hair loss was not significantly protected for the fasted group. As you can see, it wasn't perfect for protecting healthy cells, but it made a significant difference. As emphasized by Dr. Long: He challenged pharmaceutical companies to get a better result with every cocktail of their drugs. So far they haven't come close. No pharmaceutical company can make money from this approach, so it's up to the hospitals and doctors they run or, in the case of the United States, the attorneys for families who have suffered from incompetent medical practices. The bottom line is that this approach makes chemotherapy more effective and reduces side effects.Hello!dr. Longo has developed a fast-mimicking diet that is much easier for humans to follow than a water fast and works a little faster and is a little easier than a juice fast. A better mousetrap, so to speak, designed through experiments on mice.
Here's WHY fasting works to destroy cancer.
They took three pre-fast cells, one from the liver, heart and lungs. All had normal function before fasting.

Here are cells from the same liver, heart and lungs after a 48-hour water fast. The red area denotes a protective protein layer in healthy cells. This action was so rapid that the researchers concluded it was a genetically encoded response. It's a survival mechanism that our bodies and the bodies of animals have evolved to survive periods of food deprivation (before agriculture and long before supermarkets). The same result is found in all tested animals.

One of the important benefits of food deprivation is that it cleans out our white blood cells. The inefficient ones are destroyed or repaired by autophagy and the cellular material is recycled. It seems that a food fast puts the strongest stem cells into action to rebuild our bodies. Brain cells are the first to be rebuilt. Then comes the immune system. The body rebuilds cells wherever it has removed weak or damaged cells to continue to sustain the body during the fast. This is a great way to get rid of arthritis and other degenerative diseases like cancer.

Fasting, as shown in the chart below, clearly protects healthy cells.

What about cancer cells? Are they protected even when they fast?
No, and that's actually good news.
After 48 hours, normal cells show the protective layer on the outside (red). Cancer cells, due to their mutation, have lost their genetic memory for this stressful event and actually do the opposite and become more susceptible. Therefore, fasting exposes cancer cells instead of protecting them. Stop the press, this is great news! Fasting after chemotherapy has also been shown to reset the immune system to reboot. This should also be standard with chemotherapy. Maybe getting rid of cancer should be the first thing anyone does when it's in the early stages.

To hold:
basic type:
1. Fast water– the most effective takes less time. Difficult for many.
2. Imitative diet cases- Developed by Dr. Long from USC. 5 days of this corresponds to 3 days of water fasting. There is also a 4 day water fast protocol equals 3 days. This is the easiest and fastest way for most people to start fasting and gain the regenerative benefits of fasting.
3. Juice fasting– 32 ounces of juice a day. Reportedly, it takes three times longer than a water fast to get the same result.
4. Limited fasting in the eating window– Restriction of the daily feeding schedule. Limit your energy. Studies also show going 12 hours straight without eating or skipping breakfast. Prolonged fasting is worse, not better, if you do it continuously and over the long term.

All fasts will give you similar benefits. Some are harder to do and some take longer, this is the typical trade-off.

Fasting is known to provide fast, efficient and long-lasting cures for degenerative diseases. You are not covered by insurance because you do not pay the benefit. It doesn't even cover cancer treatment, but nothing does as much to cure cancer as this. It is only treated as part of a chemotherapy protocol.

The first few days of water fasting, you get dizzy and mentally confused. Diet programs like Gerson's have many of the same benefits as fasting, with the exception of some critics like autophagy. The other things you do slowly and smoothly and you will get similar results, but it takes months or years.

Russian doctors have made the 12-day water fast the gold standard for serious problems for the past 40 years. It's the fastest way to get great results. This can be difficult and requires medical supervision. This is common practice in health clinics in Germany and Russia. The first Russian clinic has safely treated over 40,000 patients with water fasting for over 40 years.

Russian fasting clinics have found it helpful to consume 2 cups (40z) per day for the first 3 days of a water fast to reduce the acidosis effect of a water fast. I tried and it helped me. Water fasting is difficult, but it also takes less time. I'll keep working on it to mentally adapt over time. They say the earlier you learn this in life, the easier it will be.

A 2-day water fastIt has been shown to put the body into an advanced healing state where chromosomes go into protective mode, tumor cells are exposed to the immune system as damaged cells, autophagy begins and the immune system becomes stronger. If you need healing, that's the bare minimum. I can do this crowd, but it's really hard. The 2- and 3-day water fast has been shown to be safe at home. It's better to move only a little and avoid driving and getting up slowly each time. Anything that takes longer should be done under medical supervision. Doing this on a weekend where you don't have to travel anywhere is the best approach.

A 3-day water fast or a 4- or 5-day fasting dietis used by defaultbefore and afterchemotherapy treatment. It might also be a good pattern of therapy once a month for three months for your ailing body (which is what I do). If your oncologist doesn't use fasting, suggest it. If he refuses and you are not bedridden, change your oncologist, you are putting your health at risk. The data is clear, the benefits are notable, the site is having a positive impact, and there are peer-reviewed studies to back this work up. Oncologists are stuck in old habits and fear straying from the rest. You will not lose your precious money if you sell chemotherapy drugs (this is the only drug that your doctor can sell you directly, because it does not work and they use a powerful carcinogen to treat cancer, in the sense that it does not prolong life and reduce its quality of life). If you decide to undergo chemotherapy, the fasting-mimicking diet should be part of the protocol. Your immune system will be severely affected by chemotherapy as this will help it function again. It will also expose your tumors to more chemotherapy. Personally, there's no way I'm going to do chemo today until it gives better results (much better than 3-5%) and has far fewer side effects. The exception would be for low-dose insulin-boosted chemotherapy (IPLD) if it works for my type of cancer (it doesn't work for prostate cancer). I would recommend Dr. Follow the quick programs prescribed by Longo before and after the treatment. The 4-Day Fat-Like Diet was designed to fit into various chemotherapy protocols.

Because water fasting is so psychologically difficult to do alone, alternatives have emerged that work well but take longer. dr. Longo reports that 70% of highly motivated people with cancer refuse to do a water fast despite the benefits. I understand that the support of a clinic helps many with this. Many more will never pass by the clinic. Hence, the Fast Copycat Diet.

Breakfast:
This is critical. When you break a fast, the food you eat is used to complete cell repair and regeneration. You build brain cells and immune cells first, you need good, quality, low impact food. This is best found in the three main types of juice (carrot and friends, green juice and fruit juice). First, you want as little pulp as possible. For a juice break, you need organic vegetables that are high in nutrition and easy to digest. When introducing solid foods, you should use the same phased approach.

Juice fast:
It is estimated that a juice fast takes three times as long as a water fast to get the same result. Juice fasting is easier to do than water fasting. It's still calorie restriction and doesn't satisfy me as much as the fast diet if you're eating a small amount of solid food. Studies in rats show that it works, but it takes longer than water fasting. My sister's juice fast consists of two 16-ounce glasses of juice a day. One is a green juice, the other is a carrot blend. If you need more to stay in the game, go for it. Be sure to strain the juice through a fine sieve to remove most of the pulp.

Timed fast food:
This has also been shown to lead to good health outcomes. I haven't seen any studies to find out if EFG-2 levels are reduced. I also didn't see any data comparing 4 x 6 x 8 x 12 hours eating windows.
1. Restricted feeding window of 4 to 12 hours per day, with an 8 hour window being the most common.
2. The 5/2 program, where you eat normally 5 days a week and then fast for 18 hours 2 days a week. This is easy to adapt to your lifestyle. Not sure if just two days will help the cancer as it takes 48 hours for good cells to go into protective mode and cancer cells to come out of protective mode. Maybe repeated cycles make the difference.

Dieta Fast-Mimic (FMD):
dr. Longo is a USC World Longevity Expert and has done extensive testing on mice. He developed a fast mimic diet that is arguably the best alternative to water fasting. It's quick and easy for humans to do. It takes a little longer (5 days instead of 3). Best results are achieved by carrying out 3 monthly cycles of 5 days of FMD once a year. The 5-day foot-and-mouth disease is limited to 1,100 calories in a specific ratio of 44% fat, 47% carbohydrates and 9% protein. Days 2-5 are limited to 800 calories. There are several foods to do this. dr. Longo now recommends doing this with different foods each time you have chemotherapy to avoid associating those foods with chemotherapy. A simple method I use is two large Haas or three small Haas a day that meet the 800 calorie requirement and are perfectly balanced for ratio. It is also recommended to drink a glass of green powder with each meal and take a multivitamin. Instead, I made a cup of fresh green juice instead of the green powder (I juice broccoli, lettuce, brussels sprouts, celery, and asparagus). Greens are for minerals, vitamins and phytochemicals. Your body uses this fat instead of body fat, so you still think you're starved. This food supports some cellular replacement, so don't overdo it. dr. Longo has a book called The Longevity Diet.

how often to fast
dr. Longo has two different recommendations.
In the case of degenerative diseases, treatment is preferably done monthly, but at least quarterly.

Preferably semi-annually for longevity.

TheFast Imitating Diet offers the easiest fast to repeat.

Summary – How to cure cancer:

Problem reminder: you are living in a way that is killing you.
Cancer Gift:
Many people report, and I feel the same way, that cancer was a gift. It was a resounding wake-up call to clean up my life. It required me to learn nutrition. I needed to examine what wasn't working in my life. My path to health is a gift. The consequences of not making all the necessary changes are fatal. Still, if I win, I'll have more than just getting the cancer out of my body. I will have cleaned up the things that didn't work to maintain my long-term health. My time taking care of myself has taught me a lot. I have also been thinking about how to spend my retirement years. I will have learned to eat well. I will have learned how to keep my body in optimal health for a long life. I will live a much healthier and happier life thanks to this journey to repair my body. I am no longer afraid of Alzheimer's taking over my mind as I get older and eroding my life.
Goals:
A. Rebuild your immune system
B. Create a healthy environment for your mitochondria
C. Stress tumors and attack tumors and tumor stem cells.
D. Oxygenate the body
E. Detoxifies your body

What you need to change:
1.Nutrition– You need to eat a 100% plant-based diet that is high in nutrients. Juice is essential, not optional. 64 ounces a day is the minimum, 104 ounces a day is for the initial phase to get the body moving in the right direction.
2. Stress– You need to remove stress from your life to heal from cancer. Some things, like a toxic relationship, need to go away. All the things that stress you out can wait, you have to heal first. Learning to respond to things that stress you out in new ways today requires productive training.
3. Toxins– You need to detoxify your body as part of the cancer cure. You have to stop putting toxins in your body. You should find out if you have amalgam fillings in your mouth.

Healing Plan: Necessary Changes:
1. Use the Gerson Diet and Juicing program. Take a juicer. The two I like are the Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain Plus (easier and faster $145), the Champion Household Juicer 4000 ($325). If you have cancer, you should also use a juicer from People's Press ($325). It gives you more enzymes you need early on to rebuild your mitochondria. It also gives me 10-25% more juice, but takes time to use, clean, and space to prep, and for me that extra time and work isn't worth the 10% more juice, but it's worth the extra enzymes. Use organic vegetables especially with carrots and beets. Follow this diet for 6 months after the cancer has disappeared.
2. Learn to take a coffee enema at least once a day to help flush out toxins. Start immediately and do not begin a fast until you can reliably do so.
3. After two weeks, do a mock fast for 5 days, then a juice fast for 9 days, longer is fine. Repeat the FMD every month until your numbers indicate the cancer is gone, then repeat every six months.
4. Supplements. There are a variety of programs. Find one you trust. My main regimen today includes vitamin B12, vitamin D3, vitality C, multivitamins, Essiac tea, turmeric, garlic (#1 against cancer cells), onion and dried ginger powder.
5. Reduce the stress in your life. You need to heal more than make an effort to participate in stressful situations, they can wait.
6. Measure your urine pH regularly and keep a record.
7. Reduce toxin intake.
8. Shift your weight to an optimal level. Your goal should be 10 pounds of weight loss per month, or 2.5 pounds. one week.
9. Sunbath at least 3 days a week
10. Exercise for 30 minutes at least 3 times a week.
11. Fast once a month until the cancer or other degenerative disease disappears. Each six months.

Maintenance program to maintain good health:
1. Keep squeezing at least 8 ounces a day
2. Dr. Longo recommends 60% carbs, 30% fat, 10% protein for best human longevity. This is a scientifically proven diet. Carbohydrates are not made from sugar and bread. Instead, they should come primarily from whole plant foods like leafy greens, fruits and vegetables. No dairy, animal protein should be limited to 200 calories a day, occasional excess is allowed, no processed sugar or synthetic sugar, no processed foods, only use good oils like flaxseed oil or good quality olive oil. This is how you should eat 85% of the time. Some sweets are allowed, there's just no daily diet of them and not at the levels often eaten in the West today. When I grew up in Singapore it was a typical Asian diet, lots of rice, some vegetables and not much meat. It has now changed to more like a western diet with much more animal protein, as well as the rate of cancer and heart disease. Avoid excess sugar and dairy (a little cheese and yogurt is fine if you don't have an allergy after healing); Avoid most bottled, canned, and packaged foods.
3. Fasting every six months
4. Do some weekly exercises
5. Get some sun
6. Manage your stress by changing the way you react to things that stress you out. Toxic relationships must disappear. It could be that you are poison to the relationship."
